Welcome to Ability Options
Ability Options began as The Association for the Assistance of Intellectually and Socially Handicapped Persons and was born in 1976 from a union between the Rotary Club of Guildford and the NSW Health Commission to enable people with an intellectual disability to move from large institutions and live in the community.
For the past 30 years Ability Options has been providing services for people with a disability in Western Sydney.
In doing this we enable people with intellectual disabilities to live and work in the community by providing accommodation, case management, employment assistance, education and training. Ability Options programs aim to give people with an intellectual disability the opportunity to live with dignity and independence as useful, contributing members of the community.
Ability Options now provides services ranging from accommodation and case management to employment to over 1,000 people with a disability.
Colour Options Nursery is a producer of potted colour that supplies major retailers and garden centres. Through Working Options, they employ people with disabilities.
Ability Options Responsible Gambling Project provides support and information to problem gambling treatment and support services which have clients with a disability.
