Participants from Ability Options WorkReady Parramatta, Penrith, and Seven Hills embarked on a trip to Grill’d in Rouse Hill for an Appreciation Celebration Lunch. As part of the day, the WorkReady participants worked on making new friends, appreciating the achievements of those who have participated in work experience at Grill’d, and building on their time management skills when using public transport to ensure the day ran smoothly.
For WorkReady, this day was a special event to celebrate support, assistance, teamwork, and encouragement. Grill’d Rouse Hill has been a great network of support for work experience for the past couple of years which has even led to the employment of a recent WorkReady graduate.
Grill’d Rouse Hill has also kindly helped with donations for the Ability Options WorkReady team.
There was a presentation of appreciation awards exchanged between the WorkReady and Grill’d Rouse Hill managers. WorkReady participants were then treated to delicious complimentary fries with their burger purchases. The participants were able to individually place their orders so they could have the opportunity to build money handling and communication skills.
After the celebration lunch, participants were given the opportunity to explore the shopping complex or relax in the sun by the water features, before departing on their journey back to Penrith, Parramatta, and Seven Hills.
Ability Options WorkReady would like to thank Grill’d Rouse Hill for their continued support now and in the future.
