Ability Options Community Activities offer a wide selection of meaningful activities, support and training to assist people with disability to learn new skills as well as make new friends. Ability Options focus on individual needs and goals to ensure people increase their independence and are better connected within their communities.

Meeting individual needs:

Community Activities excellence is in delivering a high standards of programs to all participants. Options include:

  • Visiting parks, clubs, cinemas and a variety of indoor and outdoor venues
  • Social gatherings
  • Entertainment and concert venues
  • Living skills including cooking and knitting
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Development groups.

With Community Activities the focus is on the goals of each person - we encourage you in making your own choices and increasing your independence. Support staff will engage with groups in the community who share the same interests.

Programs include:

  • Entertainment outings
  • Music therapy
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Living skills and training e.g. cooking programs
  • Eating out
  • Varied arts and crafts including textiles and touch, scrapbooking, printing and sketching.

Get involved:

Community activities are available to anyone who receives an individual funding package, for example: Community Participation, Life Choices, Active Ageing, Individual Support Packages or through fee for service.
