Jake from Formit Services in Fountaindale is big on quality. It’s what makes his business a success and by the end of 2015 he will have employed six staff members with the assistance of Ability Options Employment.
Jake knows his Employment Liaison Consultant (ELC) Ben Gauci from Ability Options is always ready to recommend quality candidates who are right for his business.
Last month, Ability Options approached Jake with a skilled candidate who had been out of the workforce for a while due to his responsibilities as a single father. Job seeker Ken was keen to support his family with more than just part-time work but he also needed some flexibility from his employer. After noticing Ken was voluntarily coming into the Ability Options Wyong office on a regular basis, the ELC sat down with Ken to discuss his work experience and situation and realised there might be an ideal fit with Formit Services.
Jake from Formit Services agreed to interview Ken, having confidence in Ben’s recommendation and assessment. “I’m always happy to be a bit flexible for the right candidate because I want my staff to be flexible for my business. Ken has worked out very well and it’s just one example of why I keep using Ability Options Employment for my staffing needs. After some initial discussions and a few adjustments to Ken’s childcare arrangements, he is now happily employed on a casual basis at Formit Services working 38 hours per week.
