Seeking a change from management roles, Jess discovered her desire in life, to help people, was also a logical career choice.
Jess began working as a Support Worker for Ability Options. By matching dedicated Support Workers to a range of people accessing NDIS support, Ability Options helps to improve the quality of life and everyday skills of the people we support.
Taking on the Support Worker role for Braden, 18, has been very rewarding for Jess. Braden has Autism and experiences depression, and had been having difficulty adjusting to adult life.
Through a strong relationship with Jess, Braden has developed essential life skills including cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene. Braden has gone from full time care to independent accommodation. The responsiveness Braden has shown to Jess is testament to her caring nature and dedication to improving the lives of those living with a disability.
