Kavya has recently completed her first year in Bachelor of Nursing at UTS and was keen to get some work experience in the health sector.
Although it was initially difficult to find employers able to facilitate work experience opportunities in this industry, Kavya and her WorkReady Consultant managed to secure an interview for a potential placement at Homebush Pharmacy.
Kavya worked hard on developing her interview skills and self-confidence while attending one-on-one sessions with her WorkReady Consultant.
Kavya attended the interview for work experience at the Homebush Pharmacy and was successful in securing a work experience position, starting early December.
Her main duties include answering customer queries, sorting and stocking incoming pharmaceutical products, and pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines.
