NDIS School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

The NDIS School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), offered as part of our WorkReady services, is designed to help young people with disability, who are leaving school, to transition smoothly into employment.

If you’re a school leaver, our SLES service can support you to gain the skills, knowledge and experience you’ll need to succeed at work.

Our SLES Youth Training and Life Skills program provides the skills, knowledge and real-world experience to join the workforce with confidence.

NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job (FaKJ)

Do you have a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan? Are you interested in working? We can help you to prepare for the workforce by accessing the supports and gaining the skills you need.

If you are between 15 and 65 years of age, and have an NDIS plan with employment goals, chances are we can help you on the road to employment with our WorkReady program. There’s no pressure to find work as the focus is on preparation and making sure you have the skills and supports to get you to your end goal of getting a job.

Work Assist

Are you struggling at work?

If you are at risk of losing your job due to life challenges, injury, disability, or health condition, our free Work Assist program can offer support. Not only do we support people to stay employed, but our service is tailored to the individual.

Additional therapy, counselling and workplace modifications can make a big difference and our skilled Job Support Consultants will provide advice and assistance that meets everyone’s needs.

How does the program work?

Your Job Support Consultant will meet with you to identify any challenges or barriers preventing you from performing your duties. We can work with both you and your manager or just you.

Next, we provide advice and assistance to both you and your manager, including strategies to overcome these barriers for a minimum of six months.

We can also work with your broader team to increase awareness.

To be eligible for Work Assist, you need to be:

  • Currently employed – working at least eight hours a week
  • Not studying full-time
  • Have worked at least eight hours per week for 13 consecutive weeks
  • Be an Australian resident or be a Temporary Protection Visa (TBV) or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV) holder
  • Aged between 14–65
  • At risk of having a reduction in work hours, or loss of employment due to the impact of an injury, illness or health condition.

Disability Employment Services

Disability Employment Service (DES) is an Australian Government program that helps support people with disability, an injury or health condition, find and keep a job. Our team of Employment Specialists work closely with you to help you find the right job with a focus on your skills and strengths.

Together, we will create a Job Plan that meets your current needs and goals, improves your skills, or helps you learn something new. It’s about getting to know you and your story.

Workforce Australia

Workforce Australia is an Australian Government scheme that helps people find work and supports employers in hiring the right staff. Jobseekers are connected to an Employment Mentor who spends time to understand your needs and create a Job Plan that complements your skills, abilities and interests. With Workforce Australia you will be supported to:

  • Write or update your resume
  • Connect with local businesses who are looking for staff
  • Review your skills and plan career training or upskilling
  • Look for work and apply for new jobs
  • Receive on the job support when you start work to help things run smoothly
  • Purchase work related training, licenses, clothing, equipment and more
